Um, WOW. I was blown by the genuine excitement and love for us from my last post! I use the blog as a scrapbook for our lives, and I thought, selfishly, it would be kind of fun to post about the journey. The phone calls, emails, FB messages and blog comments were so wonderful...Hughes and I feel really loved that so many people are so happy for us. :) THANKS! :)
Yay.

I saw this on Pinterest...isn't it cute!?! It is self-explanatory...I just painted Lily's hand green and made a tree. I did it on a 9x12 canvas that I had, so I can keep it forever. Festive.
My great friend, Emily Hortina, sent Lily this amazing PlayDoh table! It came with tons of PlayDoh and utensils that STORE IN THE TABLE! I am OCD about organization, and so is Lily; this is perfect for her! She has played with it for about 3 days straight. She has made about 893 birthday cakes for Foofa (all of them have been pink). Lily would sort-of half heartedly play with PlayDoh before, but this table has made her an addict. I think it was secretly a gift for me, because it has given me SO MUCH free time while she plays. Love you, Ems!
(Lily is obsessed with this jacket and usually refuses to take it off. Whatever).

Running in the park in our super cute Christmas dress.

Tights from Sissa. (after Christmas clearance?)
She loves this little potty and sink at the mall.
On another note, I am starting to realize how easy Lily was to potty train. She hasn't had an accident in months, and she always tells me when she has to go without me ever asking. I don't usually get to brag on how "easy" she is, so I feel like she deserves some credit.
Making a gingerbread house at the Children's Museum. This was the only picture of her without a mouth full of M&Ms.

Her school/church had a fun Christmas morning celebration...she made cookies, a baby Jesus, 27 ornaments, etc... What am I supposed to do with all of these ornaments? This year alone she has made enough to fill up an entire tree. Am I really supposed to save all of these?
They also had a live nativity with animals, which was really fun until one of the sheep literally sat on Lily. She was petting them and laughing, like it was the best thing ever, and- out of nowhere- a sheep sort of knocked her over accidentally. Then, he lost his balance and sat ON her. Her little face...it was so confused. I think it just hurt her feelings more than anything. Needless to say, it caused quite a commotion, even though she was perfectly fine. I just don't think people understand that Lily is exceptionally loud and dramatic. Thinking about it now, I am laughing, because it was pretty funny. Lily kept telling me all day: "that sheep sat on me." She could NOT wait to run home and tell Circle Elf all about it.
Sometimes she ends up here in the middle of the night. Odd.
***It's almost Christmas!!!! SO EXCITING!!!!!!****
Cracking up about the sheep. Love a Hortina gift.

ReplyDeleteAlso, contratulations on the move to Bristol. Just think, Lily is going to be a future race car fan! lol At least, you all will be closer and maybe we will get to see Lily before she starts kindergarden. Take care and tell Lily that Auntie Kay told Circle Elf "Merry Christmas"!!
ReplyDeleteLily remains completely adorable! I love those tights. I can't believe I am noticing girl clothes now. It is odd. I love that tree painting -I am totally going to steal that, as I do most things on your lovely blog. Thanks!
